ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The Nyetimber Estate, positioned in the South Downs, produces sparkling wine over eight separate sites.
The project was extensive and completed over two years. The brief entailed improving the overall masterplan for the gardens surrounding the Manor House and Estate, along with the provision of technical drawings for the hard and soft landscaping, which included fountains, paving, steps and lighting.
The gardens and driveway were extensively remodelled and replanted, including the land around their two lakes. The new driveway that runs through the estate was planted with semi-mature trees and a lime avenue.
The courtyard, an important focal point at the centre of the wine estate, sits in front of the tasting barn and was re-landscaped to include a fountain, sculpture and benches sourced from renown Artist, Alison Crowther.
